Njiva House is a 300-year-old stone house with traditional wooden construction and an exceptional courtyard garden for relaxation and entertaining. Known in Croatian as a ‘dvor’, the courtyard encapsulates the back-to-nature, easy-going holiday lifestyle that Hvar island is famous for.

Planted with fragrant lavender, sage, rosemary and olive trees, here you will find your ideal space for each time of day. From your alfresco coffee in the morning to cooking up a meal on the Dalmatian BBQ grill to dine under the shaded pergola. Refresh in the hot or cold outdoor shower after a dip at the beach, only a 10-minute stroll away. Relax with a book on a sun-lounger on the terrace. And the Folly, an outbuilding with its own terrace set apart from the main house, has a double bed under a vaulted ceiling for a siesta or perhaps the night. Njiva House offers you a simpler way of life and a chance to reconnect with nature. Designated parking included.

Indoors, Njiva House has three air-conditioned bedrooms, one double, one twin and one small double. There are two bathrooms, a sitting room with woodburning stove, a kitchen/dining room, and ground floor cloakroom. Recently renovated, every effort has been made to update it without sacrificing its traditional features. There is good WIFI, TV, a retro de Longhi gas oven and hob, a washing machine, a microwave and a dishwasher. Traditional wooden shutters keep out the glare.

Njiva House has a stunning location in the old centre of UNESCO Stari Grad - the oldest town in Croatia and former island capital. You are just moments from the yacht marina, beaches, the picturesque Tvrdalj Castle, cafes, restaurants and shops.
